May Days

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

I was desperate for a new look for 7CT. Here it is. Nice and summery for a time in Michigan that is anything but. By Monday it is supposed to be close to 80 degrees. I can’t wait. I’m sick of wet and cold. All I want is warm…so warm I don’t have to wear a jacket. In the meantime while I’m hoping for an improvement in climate, I’ve been taking photos of Zack. I’ve also taken some lovely flower pictures. You’d never know looking at these that it’s pretty miserable around here.

Fun at Kensington

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Zack loves being outdoors (if you haven’t figured that out by the multitude of outdoors photos). He doesn’t really like being dirty, but he enjoys running and playing and generally “helping” out. We went to Kensington Metropark a few days ago and he had a great time even though it was a little chilly and windy.

Big Party Time

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Zack had his second birthday party. He had a lot of fun even though our picnic actually had to be held indoors. Michigan weather is all too unpredictable. Here’s a few photos from Sunday’s event (late, yes, I know).

Two years ago right now, I had a brand new baby in my arms. He was so tiny and so adorable–and also so Zack! Happy birthday big guy.

Pretend Play

Zack - April 2008

This picture is pretty cute, but mostly because of what he was doing.  I’d plucked a daffodil from its plant and taken a few pictures.  I then handed it to Zack and told him it was a pretty flower.  After some consideration, he tried to replant it.  Aww….sweet.

He really has been playing pretend a lot lately.  One of his current favorite stuffed animals is a tiger.  He calls it his kitty.  During his nap, Sara had ejected her food off its perch leaving crumbs on the floor.  When Zack woke up and noticed the cat food bits on the flood he started feeding his “kitty” (he says it like “tete”).  He was saying “numnums,” “yummy,” “doo doo” (for Dewey, his favorite kitty) and pushing his toy’s face into the food.  He then picked up a tiny piece and was feeding it by hand to his animal.

Awww…how sweet!
