New Camera Shots

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

Zack is now 12 weeks old and still incredibly adorable. He’s big, cute, and sleeping through the night. I know everybody is jealous. He actually started sleeping through the night a week and a half ago. He’s continued the routine much to my happiness (and relaxation). Here are a few new photos with my new camera.

Humid as Hell

Thursday, July 27th, 2006

A few weeks ago I complained about the heat and humidity in Michigan.  Consider my former point moot.  Why?  Well, Michigan is now much more humid than any human being should have to deal with.  It’s supposed to be like 90 degrees and about 90 percent humidity today.  Tomorrow through Sunday is supposed to be even hotter.  It’s ridiculous.  My poor window a/c units are barely enough to keep it reasonable inside my house.

Oh yes…and by the way tomorrow is my fifth wedding anniversary.  “The Man” and I got married five years ago tomorrow.  So much yet so little has changed in that time.  The biggest change, of course, happened only three or so months ago.

I’m a Rebel. Or Not.

Monday, July 24th, 2006

I do believe I’ve bought myself what may become a very expensive hobby.  I’ve begun very modestly with an older Canon Rebel and will augment it with another two or so lenses (I’m thinking a macro and something else).  I’ve already got a tripod to help me.  I’m already enjoying the creativity it allows me over my point-and-click Casio (which I also love).  It’s a treat for me considering my new SAHM status.  Thanks to Epinions for allowing me to buy a goody every now and then.

A Million Baby Faces

Tuesday, July 18th, 2006

Because I’m a ridiculous mother and I have to brag.  I do indeed have the cutest baby in the world.  He is Zack.  He is 10 weeks old.

Hot, hot, hot…

Saturday, July 15th, 2006

Michigan has officially fallen to one of the lower levels of hell.  It is like 95 degrees with the same percentage humidity.  I’m stuck inside in front of one of our pitiful window air conditioners.  It’s a really sad state of being, unfortunately that’s what I’m forced to do with Zack at my side.  Gotta love life sans job, commute, etc.

In any case, maybe I can take advantage of the steamy weather and do some housework.  Or not.  I’m really not much of a housewife (which I’m certain Jeremy can vouch for).  That said I did actually cook a meal this week.  It was from the recipe mag I get every other month.  The jist?  Polish sausage, red and yellow bell peppers, onions, butter, cajun seasoning.  Sautee.  I can actually cook when it is that ridiculously simple.  Sometimes.  Sometimes not.

White Summer

Saturday, July 8th, 2006

It’s been a while.  My camera is literally overflowing with baby pictures.  How could it not be?  I have the most adorable son in the world.  No joke.  In any case, I took some macro flower pictures.  I don’t know what they are, but these flowers are the size of my fingertip.  I thought the focusing and colors turned out nice.  By the way, I never use Photoshop.

Mommy Kryptonite

Wednesday, July 5th, 2006

My son has a pouty face.  Obviously children come by this naturally.  I have proof.  It’s below.  I call the look “Mommy Kryptonite” as it gets me every time.  The bottom lip pops out and I melt.
