Seven.Caged.Tigers

First of all, my husband is making me update. I’ve been lazy and relatively inactive on the net since Zachary (Zack!) came home a week ago. He’s still doing well, gaining weight, and generally being cute. Of course he also pees and poos all the time, cries more than we’d like, and wakes us at night to eat but those are all things babies are supposed to do. We’ll have more pics soon, I promise. We’ve been lazy.

Um. Uh. Yeah. I’m tired, I think I’ll sleep now.

I give you one attempt.

Why am I always so late to realize things? I’m sitting with Zack in the pediatrics unit at University of Michigan RIGHT now. Yesterday Jeremy and I discovered that the computers in the room are actually connected to the internet. All we had to do was ask if we could access it and a password would be provided. Not all the rooms actually work that well–come on, how could a switch handle ALL the computers attached to the internet. There are FOUR in our room alone!

In any case, now I have the ‘net so time should pass more quickly (as bad as that sounds). I am a happy girl. And nerd. And mom.

Did I mention that my new son bought me a mother’s day gift? Of course daddy had a bit to do with it considering he’s just days old and not able even to point to things. Jeremy picked up a lovely (beautiful, perfect, etc…) pendant for me. Not just is it gorgeous, but it is an emerald–little Zack’s birthstone. What a good hubby I have.

I guess I owe ya’ll some updates. I’ve been completely sans internet because of being in the hospital AND beause Comcast is a bitch. That said…here goes nothing.

Zack is still in the hospital. It’s been like 10 days now. He’s still cute also but until he’s home I can’t say I’m entirely happy. He’s safe and well taken care of, I know, but it’s not easy. He is doing better but still not eating properly. It’s just a matter of time.

I’ll have more pics ASAP.

Born on 5/6 at 3:29a.m. He weighed 6lbs 5oz and was 19″ long. He’s not home with us yet, but we hope he is within the next few days.

First of all, if your comment disappeare it wasn’t on purpose!!! I’m having something of a spam challenge and have accidentally deleted some real comments.

Secondly, I just got out of the hospital for a second time. This time around it was only for one night but I ended up there for the same exact reason–my darned blood pressure is out of control. Fortunately, we found out this time around that the little fellow is about 6lbs 2oz and “thriving.” Unfortunately my body isn’t in such great shape.

In any case…I’m here just on bed rest (still) and waiting to be admitted for a third time. Will Friday be the charm? Tuesday? Next Friday? Only time will tell…
