Who knew that my husband, Jeremy, was romantic? Definitely not me, but with a little prodding he suprised me with a trip to a lovely bed and breakfast in South Haven this past Friday. Sure it was only one night, but the evening was absolutely relaxing and most definitely worth our time. Thanks honey. I love you, too ![]()

Woo-hoo! Happy FRIDAY!
Not that I’m that happy it’s a Friday. The weeks fly by so quickly these days that next thing I know it’ll be the worst day of all…MONDAY (of course). With that said, all is well…yesterday Jeremy and I signed our lives away. Let me rephrase that…we revised our lives by way of remortgaging. It doesn’t save us a whole ton of money, but definitely enough to make it worthwhile in the long run. Every little penny helps, ya know?

Jeremy sent me a great link this afternoon (yes, we as married people do on occasion communicate through e-mail). Anyway, wanna know just how popular a particular site, person, place, thing, or WHATEVER is according to Google? Now it’s easy…oh…and by the way Michigan State is more popular than University of Michigan
Check out googlefight.com for at least a few minutes of fun.

I’m always up for a good new scent. But there’s only so much I can cheaply buy at places like Bath & Body Works and The Body Shop. So. I decided randomly to try a place that handmakes their lotions and soaps and gels and the like. Wow. It’s amazing…no seriously my Lemon Creme makes me smell like CANDY! Check out Berrysweet here.

This weekend was pretty nice. On Friday night, Jeremy and I decided to go out to eat. We settled on the Lazy Lizard Cantina (I think…errr…if memory serves), a Mexican restaurant in Novi. It was very good food with nice portions. We had every intention on going out to a movie, but after a margarita for me and a Corona for Jeremy, we just decided to go to Borders and come home. Of course, the trip to the bookstore resulted in a few–ahem–purchases. I got six new books, and Jeremy got two new computer books. We buy way too much stuff…especially considering I never get rid of anything.
On Saturday, we spent a lot of time just hanging out. Nothing much. Pretty much at the last minute, we decided to go to the mall (Twelve Oaks) and do some holiday shopping. We managed to check a few names off of our shopping list fortunately. And, we also found that the mall isn’t horribly busy on Saturday evenings. After that, we went to Emagine…a new movie theater in Novi. It was very nice, and had I been a lush I could have actually gotten a beer or a drink to bring into the theater with me. Fortunately, I didn’t require that kind of entertainment to enjoy Paul Thomas Anderson’s Punch Drunk Love. It was a VERY good movie, though probably not for the timid of ears or the easily shocked
Finally came Sunday…and Christmas decorating! Woo-hoo! I thought Jeremy was going to have a heart attack. Seriously. His family doesn’t decorate much to speak of. My ENTIRE family goes absolutely ape shit and decorates every room except for the bedrooms. So you have to get an early start with it, you see! We did everything but the tree. I think the tree is going up Thanksgiving weekend…

You know I hate to make fun of people, but come on…how much stranger looking can one man get? Michael Jackson was once a good looking young man…you know, 20 years ago. Anyway, since then he’s taken it upon himself to shred his face (with the help of a surgeon’s scalpel) to bits and now looks rather freaking. So freakish that if children saw his manged mug on the street they’d rather than laugh, run away screaming…it’s disturbing. So, in lieu of my turned stomach I give you a brand new MJ picture…

I feel a ton better these days. I’ve nixed coffee from my morning routine, began to take vitamins again (I should have been anyway), and am taking an afternoon nap on my office floor. Guess what? It’s working. I’m actually lucid and make sense to both myself and others. What the heck took me so long? And yes, I’m aware that this is the second time I’ve mentioned this within days in this journal…I’m just rather pleased with my discovery.
Umm….I got a new cell phone this weekend. It’s a color (yes, color) Motorola T720. While very cool and very pretty both describe the phone, it was also very free. What more could a girl ask for? Free you ask? Well, let’s just say that a certain Verizon salesman worked a little something special for seven of us. I’m not complaining…

Coffee!
Yes, I figured out why I didn’t feel too well (or at least I think I did). I tried to go off coffee and immediately felt better. I’ve been drinking just juice and the occasional cup of tea instead. Glad that my wooziness was because of something so ridiculously stupid. I wouldn’t *really* want to be sick, ya know? Anyway, I just discovered this amazing singer-songwriter fellow by the name of Jim White. He’s a bit strange, but I can’t help but love him. He’s released two full-length discs, Wrong-Eyed Jesus! and No Such Place. Both are great, but I’m currently addicted to No Such Place. Amazing stuff…really…

I haven’t been feeling so swift lately. The cold is still hanging around (I’m waiting ever patiently for a flu shot)…in addition I’ve been feeling hazier and less alert than usual. It’s frustrating to talk to people because I make little sense to myself much less anybody else. It’s probably all due to the head cold, but still…
I’ve become attached to another PS2 game. This time, the object of my affection is Final Fantasy X. I love it. It’s the first time I’ve played any version of the RPG, so I have nothing to really compare it to. But with that said, the graphics are absolutely amazing. If you’d told people ten years ago that their video games would look like cartoons on television but better they would have laughed at you. This game will take me a while to finish…don’t know what’s next. Maybe The Sims will be out when I *finally* finish ![]()

Finally. It’s arrived. The less orange-and-yellow more red-and-black design! Hope it’s pleasing to the eye…

So it’s Friday. The Halloween festivities went well last night. In fact, I didn’t have even close to enough candy. Within just 45 minutes, I went through over 10lbs of junkfood. Seriously…I thought I had enough…I really did, but there were herds of children! I only gave them four or so pieces each (we’re talking small candy here not like large bars or anything). Anyway, by 7pm last night, I had blown out my candles, closed my shades, and hit quietly in my house with the hope that nobody would see me inside and yelp Trick or Treat. I have to remind myself that next year I’ll need to buy between 20 and 25lbs. Grrr…
