It’s been a while…I apologize.

This past weekend was my first wedding anniversary. JT and I have been together now for nearly five years. It seems like just yesterday that I was a naive college Junior dating a really nice new guy. Now, I’m a hardened old maid married to a really nice guy.

We also just got a Playstation 2 after much consideration. It was a gift for the man’s 26th birthday. We only purchased two games…Gran Tourismo 3 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X. The Gran Tourismo was for the man. The one reason that he wanted the PS2 over the other systems was for the newest installment of his very favorite video game. So far it’s been pretty fun.

I’ve been out of work these past two days. To clarify, I’ve been taking an Advanced Graphic Design for the web class. Advanced my ass. It’s easy. I like the instructor, but in all honesty I haven’t learned a darned thing about Photoshop. I’ve been attempting to be a bit creative. We’ll see how well my sometimes strange creativity comes off in front of the class of novice designers. Seriously…very few of these people have experience (at all) in Photoshop or design. I’m by far the most advanced. How embarrassing. At least it’s two days off of work!

I Am A: Lawful Good Elf Mage Bard

Alignment:
Lawful Good characters are the epitome of all that is just and good. They believe in order and governments that work for the benefit of all, and generally do not mind doing direct work to further their beliefs.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.

Secondary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

Deity:
Mystra is the Neutral Good goddess of magic. She is also known as the Lady of Mysteries. Followers of Mystra wear armor and carry shields with her symbol on them. Mystra’s symbol is a ring of stars.

So I saw the newest installment of American Idol last night. Actually it was a great evening for reality television with shows like 30 Seconds To Fame, Meet The Marks (hilarious), Big Brother, and the aformentioned American Idol. Anyway, shock of all shocks AJ Gil was kicked off. Doesn’t really surprise me in the least though it’s important to say that Ryan Starr should get her butt kicked off ASAP. Still a sucker for Justin (though his true colors are beginning to show) and Tamyra Gray and Kelly Clarkson are amazing singers. I like Nikki McKibbin, though there are more talented people out there.

Which Colossal Death Robot Are You?

I’m back…for good this time. After forty hours in the car in just two weeks (not counting a few commutes), I’m finally home safe and sound. My vacation to Virginia was nice. And my trip to Ikea proved to be enlightening. I think I’ve been spending way too much money on furniture. Talk about a really cool store. Now, I just have to cross my fingers that one eventually opens in Michigan so I don’t have to travel all the way to Chicago to visit the closest store.

There still has been very little rain in Michigan. Yesterday marked the first rain in my area in going on two months. Talk about ridiculous. Yards are drying up and my flowers are all but dead. I can’t even keep my stupid Pansies alive. That takes work.

Also, my famous little Max is sick. The poor guy. He’s been throwing up all over my house for the past week. He’s been eating, but most of what he eats comes right back up. He’s already made a trip to the vet. The vet said that there’s no reason that he should be throwing up considering his age and the fact that after viewing his x-ray it was clear he hadn’t eaten anything (Max *is* a goat of sorts). It’s getting better, but I don’t look forward to waking up in the morning and stepping in a warm pile o’ puke.

Max is a star. Okay, okay. Maybe not, but at mycathatesyou.com he’s got his own little corner under the name “Bad Max.” I love that picture…

Sorry for my absence, but alas…I’ve been stranded for over a week on a desert isle in Georgian Bay in Ontario. I’ve come back relaxed, refreshed, and about as tan as a Scottish lass could possibly be. That basically translates to a darker shade of pale. Anyway, I’ve yet to hear of anything really crazy happening while I was gone. The little “Moose FM” radio station that came up was strange and provided listeners with little world news of any matter.

Anyway, upon coming home I found that in our week gone somebody bought the house that’s been for sale for months next door. I hope our new neighbors aren’t too crazy. Our cats are healthy, our lawn (sans rain since June 4) has yet to really look good. Fortunately, the plants had just been fertilized so they aren’t really crispy-dead yet.

I just stumbled on the nastiest site…ratemypoo.com. You know what you’re rating if you click there…

Take the 100 Acre Personality Quiz!

I’m tired. Really, really tired. The weekend was spent up north at a family reunion. It was a great time…in fact for the first time ever at the Clark reunion we had…get this…fresh Maine lobster as provided by my mother’s cousin. Yummy.

I didn’t sleep well, spent too much time in the sun, and snacked. All the best things about being at such an event.
